FOUNDED IN 1895
The history of the Mario Portolano brand dates back to 1895,
with Fortunato, Mario's grandfather, who founded the leather glove factory.
His son Alberto, the firstborn, always open to new initiatives,
develops the glove factory and establishes the tannery and leather dyeing plant.
His son Mario continues with passion and enthusiasm on the path thus traced.

Portolano is the fourth generation of entrepreneurs.
The production, which has its own high-end brand and lines in alliance with stylists and high fashion and ready-to-wear fashion houses, is complete: from the tanning phase of the leather to the dyeing phase up to the final processing of the gloves.
